ABOUT
Annalyse grew up in the mountains of eastern Kentucky performing in professional musical theatre and singing country music at fairs and festivals beginning at the age of 8. She then attended Northern Kentucky University, receiving her BFA in Musical Theatre. Shortly thereafter, she moved to NYC to pursue a career in theatre and/or music. The music took hold, and Annalyse's original songs have taken her across the US and to Europe on tour. She now resides in the Hudson Valley, and has recorded 3 studio albums and several singles with her husband and songwriting/music partner, Ryan Dunn. The two have also written songs for television & commercials (Mattel, Thunderworks) and provided documentary scoring (Global Mosaic, PBS in LA). At the heart of her songwriting is the art of telling the story.
Annalyse narrates with a standard American dialect, and as a native central Appalachian -- a McCoy, descended from the famous family who feuded with the Hatfields -- she can also provide an authentic Appalachian dialect. She is highly skilled in many accents and dialects. Annalyse is an engaging and experienced storyteller.
